About Second Act Blog

Welcome to Second Act Blog—a space for late bloomers, second-act founders, neurodivergent creatives, and anyone trying to build something real while life refuses to get out of the way.

What I Write About

I write about the messy, creative, often chaotic process of building things—from digital products and scrappy side hustles to content that actually connects. My writing is rooted in real-world experimentation, not theory. I’m not interested in hype. I’m interested in what works, what matters, and what helps people get unstuck.

Some days that means talking about the struggle of juggling a contract job with startup dreams. Other days, it means getting honest about mental illness, self-doubt, or why a 400-word blog post might be your best work yet.

Who I Am Right Now

Right now, I’m in the thick of it. I work full-time as a content writer in the finance space—overnights, no less. When I’m not working, I’m building. I’m writing essays, shipping product ideas, sketching out apps, and sharing the behind-the-scenes of what it means to build a second act from the ground up at 56.

I’m developing several indie projects including:

  • The Second Act Letter – a newsletter for late bloomers
  • Deep Work Timer – a tool for writers and creatives who want to focus again
  • Threadline – a visual storytelling platform for portfolio humans and pivoters
  • Two Wallets – a blog and directory for people living across borders

Mental illness delayed a lot of my dreams, but it didn’t erase them. Now I’m building with urgency and compassion. For myself—and for others like me.

Why This Blog Exists

This blog is where I document the real stuff. No manufactured growth hacks. No performative productivity. Just honest, useful reflections on what it’s like to build and create with all your imperfections intact.

If you’re here because you’re trying to write again, start something, or figure out how to rebuild after a hard chapter—welcome. You’re not too late.

I’m rooting for you.
