I Wrote a Book About Using AI for Content Marketing  (But Keeping It Human)

I’ve been a writer for more than 20 years. Not saying it to brag, but to let you know that I’ve been around the block a time or two.

I’ve ghostwritten blog posts for CEOs, built websites for startups, and written hundreds of articles for brands like Quicken. I’ve been publishing my own original work on Medium since 2018.

Writing is my craft, my passion, my reason for getting out of bed each morning. It’s my livelihood. My way of making sense of the world.

And then AI showed up and nothing was ever the same again.

When ChatGPT first hit the scene, I’ll be honest: I hated it. The outputs were bland. Robotic. Like a corporate sales page that forgot what a human voice sounded like.

I did the thing that everybody else does and crapped all over AI because my ego was huge, and frankly, even though AI wasn’t great at the time, I saw it’s potential and was scared. Scared for the future of the business I had invested so much.

But I kept experimenting because I knew if I used Ai right, it would change forever how I wrote. My process.

I learned how to feed it better prompts. I trained it on my own writing. I figured out when to lean on it for speed, and when to step in with my voice.

I started treating it like an assistant, a tool that spoke my language.

And suddenly, writing felt lighter. Easier. It flowed better.

No more staring at a blank page for hours. No more burning out trying to write everything from scratch. AI became the assistant I didn’t know I needed — fast, literal, tireless. But the words still sounded like me because it was me.

That’s when I realized: AI doesn’t have to kill creativity. It can amplify it.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m still a writer. Every word on this page is my voice, because even though AI helped my flesh out the idea, create an outline, and suggest a first draft, I still rewrite every word in my own voice. AI just gives me a head start.

Everyone knows the pain of staring at a blank page. I don’t start from scratch anymore.

Why I Wrote This Ebook

I kept seeing the same problem everywhere:

People were using AI to pump out content, but it all sounded the same. Generic. Forgettable. You could spot people who used AI to draft everything for them without adding their own voice from a mile away.

And even though LLMs have gotten better, you still can spot when writers are using AI to do all their work.

So I wrote “10X Your Content Marketing: Harness AI, But Use a Personal Touch.”

It’s not another “AI hacks” book. It’s a straightforward guide to:

  • Using AI to draft blogs, newsletters, tweets, and ebooks faster
  • Training AI to write in your voice (not a soulless bot)
  • Building a simple workflow that keeps you consistent without burning you out
  • Knowing what to automate and what to keep human (like writing a LinkedIn post vs. writing for Medium. Sometimes you have to write it all yourself)
  • Making content that connects, not just content that fills space

This is the system I use every single day, whether I’m writing for clients, building my own projects, or just trying to stay consistent with my blog.

Who This Is For

  • Solo creators who feel overwhelmed by the endless need for content
  • Freelancers who want to impress clients with speed and quality
  • Entrepreneurs who need to ship more without losing their voice
  • Writers who want to stay relevant in the AI era without selling their soul
  • Late bloomers like me, building their “second act” online

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the time you finish, you’ll know how to:

  • Beat blank page syndrome with AI-assisted drafts
  • Repurpose your content across platforms in minutes, not hours
  • Blend AI’s speed with your stories so your work stands out
  • Build a weekly content rhythm that’s actually sustainable

And maybe most importantly — you’ll walk away knowing you still matter as a writer. AI didn’t replace you. It gave you leverage. It amplified your voice because you no longer were starting with a white space screaming into the void.
